Grammar for Writers

In my non-pseudonymous life, I work very closely with words. I know grammar and style rules inside out, as well as how to format a perfect Chicago-style bibliography. (It’s not as fulfilling as you might hope.) So I thought it might be useful if I wrote little lessons on grammar rules for writers now and again. I’ll collect them here for the sake of convenience. If you have any grammar problems you’d like help with, feel free to drop me a line. I’ll take questions. I’ve always wanted to be Dear Abby.

Emergency Grammar Rodeo!, wherein I answer a question about a finer point of choosing between comma, colon, semicolon, and ellipses
