To sweeten the pot, I’m throwing in some prizes of my own! –One grand prize winner will receive a set of eight Christmas cards with holiday movie quotes from Etsy. The grand prize winner will also receive a copy of Naughty and Nice and a copy of my January 28 novella, How To Misbehave (both to be sent on their respective release days). –Three runners up will receive a copy of Naughty and Nice. The cards are so cute — see? To enter for my prizes, comment below by telling me what your favorite scene is in your favorite holiday movie. My own story in Naughty & Nice, titled Room at the Inn, is inspired in large part by It’s a Wonderful Life, which is my favorite Christmas movie. My favorite scene? When George goes over to Mary’s house, stick on fence, and then kisses her violently, desperately, miserably in her sitting room. It’s both sexy and very sad, and it makes me choke right up. 🙂 I’ll choose four random winners and announce them here on the morning of 10/30. I’ll also e-mail the winners directly, so be sure to fill out that field when you comment. Your e-mail address will not be publicly visible, and I won’t add you to my mailing list or do anything else skeevy with it. Scout’s honor. You can also hop to other participating blogs — including those of my Naughty & Nice coauthors, Molly O’Keefe and Stefanie Sloane — to check out their posts and prizes!

  2. Looks like I’m not alone in loving A Christmas Story! There are so many great scenes it’s hard to pick. So I’ll say the tire changing scene, when Ralphie drops the F bomb, followed by “Schartz getting his”. LOL love that movie!

  3. When the angel gets his wings in It’s A Wonderful Life. I cry every time I watch that movie. But for funny .. The Christmas Story .. hands down. We actually own a major award lamp we put out every year.

  4. It’s been so long since I last watched a movie ! I’m an obsessive reader ! I think the most romantic scene I’ve seen recently is when two characters make love in Prometheus and then well… what happens is not so romantic…

    Thanks for the giveaway !

  5. Favorite holiday romance books would be the christmas themed stories by Susan Wiggs & Debbie Macomer. The holiday themed movies I love are The Family Stone w/Sarah Jessica Parker & love Elf-the romance with Will & Zooey is great.

  6. My favorite holiday movie is White Christmas. Love the last scene when they all go outside and its snowing. Perfect ending.

  7. My favorite is when the kid gets his tongue stuck to the flagpole in A Christmas Story or when the squirrel attacks from the Christmas tree in Christmas Vacation. Carin

  8. My favorite scene is when the guy in Love, Actually holds up cue cards to his best friend’s wife letting her know how much she actually means to him.

  9. Hi Ruthie… favorite Christmas movie is The Bishop’s Wife! Cary Grant , Loretta Young and David Niven!!! My favorite scene is when Cary Grant( he’s an angel, she doesn’t know it) are ice skating in a park. My kids gave it to me for Christmas a couple years ago…. I watch it with my daughter every Christmas Eve! Her favorite is A Christmas Story.
What a great question, and you should watch it….very romantic! Thanks!

  10. One of my favorite holiday movies is “A Christmas Story” and one of my favorite scenes is when the father gets the box with the the “leg lamp” and it has the word “fragile” on it in English but he is trying to pretend it’s in some foreign language and totally mispronounces the word – that whole movie really makes me laugh. Thanks for the giveaway

  11. I like Ralphie’s father getting his “major award” leg lamp in A CHRISTMAS STORY, or the scene where Ralphie decodes the Ovaltine commercial…

  13. Sleepless in Seattle. It totally feels like a Christmas movie to me. I love that movie SO HARD even though there was no kiss at the end, I used to watch it over and over when I was younger in hopes that a kiss would magically appear. But no. Just hand holding. *sigh*

  14. I love the scene from It’s A Wonderful Life where George is on the bridge and is saying Please, I want to live. Please Clarence I want to live. Makes me tear up every time.

  15. Ok so I am a 12 year old boy sometimes and I STILL love the scene in elf in the beginning where they are interviewing and the troll lets one rip. I laugh EVERY time. Yep, 12 year old boy is me! :-/

  16. The Night Before Christmas “by, Lori Foster,Erin McCarthy,Jill Shalvis,Kathy Love,Katherine Garbera and Kylie Adams :)” Thanks for the great stop on the hop!

  18. I love the scene in White Christmas where they surprise the General with the gathering of many of his former troops – he gets tears in his eyes and then inspects the troops.

  19. It has to be the leg lamp from The Christmas Story! Always a classic and I watch it every time it is on.

  20. I have not read any holiday romance books…yet

My favorite scene in a holiday movie is the bunny costume scene in A Christmas Story

  21. My kids and I were just laughing about this over dinner…The scene in A Christmas Story when the little boy is encouraged by his mother to eat like a piggy. That is so gross and uncomfortable and funny! jepebATverizonDOTnet

  22. My favorite holiday movie is White Christmas. The boys in the house groan when it comes out because they know Mom is going to cry. Love when they have the General walk in to the show in uniform.

  23. I would have to say Lori Foster’s He Sees You When You’re Sleeping, White Knight Christmas, Do You Hear What I Hear, & The Christmas Present.
